IND v WI, 2nd ODI: Records created today!

India went on to script a massive victory in the second ODI after losing the first one against West Indies.

After losing the toss yet again, India was put on to bat first by Pollard who certainly regretted his decision, thanks to the brilliance from the Indian openers. Of course, there were dropped chances but let’s not take things away from Rahul and Sharma who went on to score twin tons, making things easier for the other batters to follow. Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant then freed their arms, took on the Windies bowlers, found boundaries literally every single delivery and took India to 387.

While chasing the same, West Indies had a good start but that wasn’t enough as the run-rate kept growing that led to the catches. However, Pooran and Hope showed resistance with 100+ stand. Shami was then brought back to attack and he removed Pooran and Pollard in the consecutive deliveries and Yadav’s hattrick tumbled the visitors who eventually fell short by 107 runs.
