Director Atlee took to social media to share that his film Theri is his favourite and he also thanked Vijay for giving him the opportunity.

Priya also tweeted that Vijay is that big brother who stood by them during their difficult times.
Theri had an ensemble cast of Samantha, Amy Jackson, J Mahendran, Radhika Sarathkumar, Azhagam Perumal and Rajendran to name a few. Actress Meena’s daughter Nainika played Vijay’s daughter in the film.
