BCCI announces Team India’s playing XI for the first Border-Gavaskar Test

Team India on Wednesday announced the playing XI for the first Test against Australia which will be played in Adelaide from December 17.

The series opener is going to be a day-night Test played with pink balls from December 17.

Virat Kohli will lead the side and this will be the only Test he will play in this four-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane will then take over the reigns for the last 3 matches of the 4-Test series.

Team India include Prithvi Shaw, Saha , Vihari and Ashwin in playing eleven

The Indian bowling attack comprises the likes of Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah with Umesh Yadav coming in as the third seamer. Ravichandran Ashwin has been picked as the sole specialist spinner in the team.
