INDIA WOMEN CRICKET

Indian women’s cricket team is all set to return to international cricket after almost a year with a home series against South Africa.

India are likely to host South Africa for five ODIs and three T20Is. However, the official announcement about the same is yet to be released.

According to Cricbuzz, the BCCI is working out on details now and the official release will be made soon. South Africa will be undergoing quarantine after visiting the country and the venues, dates for the series will be announced soon.

South Africa are currently hosting Pakistan and have won the ODI series already and have taken an unassailable lead in the T20I series.

India, on the other hand, are yet to play a single international game. The BCCI had conducted Women’s T20 challenge recently and since then, there were different league games organized by the states or different academies for the players.

According to BCCI’s latest announcement, India will be getting back to the domestic season with Senior Women’s One-day competition which will be held alongside Vijay Hazare Trophy.
