Corona Scare: French Open postponed to September

In a note, the officials announced that they are postponing the French Open to September due to Corona Virus outbreak.

The former official date for the tournament was from 18th May. However, the officials added that they are not sure how long this outbreak could go because of which the proper preparations for the tournament is affected.

The new date of the tournament according to the site is 20th September and the tournament will end on 4th October.

“We have made a difficult yet brave decision in this UNPRECEDENTED situation, which has evolved greatly since last weekend. We are acting responsibly, and must work together in the fight to ensure everybody’s health and safety,” explained Bernard Giudicelli, President of the FFT.
