COVID19: Gibbs to auction bat he used for chasing 438

More than 14 years after hitting the match winning knock of 175 against Australia to chase down mammoth 438, Herschelle Gibbs will be auctioning his bat for charity.

On Friday, Gibbs posted images of his prized bat on Twitter with the caption: “Supersport showing the #438 game . The bat i used that day will be up for auction to raise funds for covid. Kept it all these years.”

Recently, AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli also offered to auction their kits they used in an IPL match for charity.
