CSK unveil new jersey, features camouflage as a tribute to India’s armed forces

Chennai Super Kings have recently unveiled their new jersey for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League.

This is the first time since 2008, the team has redesigned the jersey and this time, the jersey will feature camouflage on shoulders as a tribute to India’s armed forces.

Sponsored by Myntra, the jersey will also feature three stars above the franchise’s logo.

“The new-look jersey features camouflage as a tribute to India’s armed forces and three stars atop the much-loved franchise’s logo,” CSK said in a statement.

“It has been on our mind for some time now to find ways to raise awareness about the significant and selfless role of the armed forces. The camouflage is an appreciation of their service they are the true heroes,” CSK CEO KS Viswanathan said.

The team took to social media to share the video of MS Dhoni unveiling the jersey.

IPL will begin from April 9th and Chennai will shift their camp to Mumbai soon. This year, notably, no team will be playing on their home venue.
