England set to postponed India tour: Reports

2020 is currently the worst year ever. We had fires, floods and currently we are battling COVID19. The pandemic in India is worst that the country is seeing rise every single day. This means no sport can be played as long as the cases comes under control.

Most of the tour this year is either cancelled or postponed. Now, the latest one to be added in that list is England’s tour to India.

The tour consisted of 3 ODIs and as many T20Is, starting September 16 but the fixture congestion amid the COIVD19 pandemic is set to see the bilateral series being postponed.

With the fate of T20 World Cup being decided this month, India will be keen to organize Indian Premier League given that the conditions are under control.

The BCCI is looking at the September-October window to organize the tournament. While the Indian players are likely to be available for all the matches, the overseas players might also play the league if the Government allows.

The situation has been such that the BCCI is also open to hosting the IPL in countries like Sri Lanka or UAE who have more-or-less gotten the virus spread under control.
