I was disappointed with National Awards: Dhanush

During the audio launch of his upcoming movie, Asuran, Dhanush opened up about the National Awards when Velraj said that the actor was disappointed.

“Velraj said here that I was disappointed and felt sad about the recently announced National Awards. Vetrimaaran told me to not talk about it. But yes, I was disappointed not because Vetrimaaran and I didn’t get any awards for Vada Chennai, we got it long back for Aadukalam. We would neither celebrate nor feel sad for winning and losing awards. But our art director Jackson deserved an award for Vada Chennai but he was ignored. I expected Maari Selvaraj to win an award for Pariyerum Perumal, and Ram for Raatchasan”, said Dhanush. “More than us, many media representatives feel that we should have bagged awards for Vada Chennai. I think that speaks volumes about the quality of the film”, added the actor.

Earlier, actor Vishnu Vishal took to Social Media to post about the National Award snub.
