IND v AFG: India look to stay unbeaten!

India couldn’t have asked for a better start in the World Cups as they have successfully stayed unbeaten so far. Whereas their opponents for Saturday hasn’t been the best of the teams and was hammered by the hosts England in the last match.

The captaincy change, the absence of their big star, the mismanagement and the problems in the backend are a few of the reasons why Afghanistan is facing the situation they are currently in. The team’s best players haven’t stood up to the occasion as well and Rashid Khan’s rare off day came at the wrong time for the team. He sure will bounce back but can that be today?

For India, despite the injury concerns, the team has done well and with no doubts, even the bench strength for the team looks strong on papers.

Last time when these two teams locked horns, it ended in a tie and it also marked the last match of Dhoni’s captaincy which was also his 200th ODI as captain.

With KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma finding their form at the right time, the Indian batting order has nothing to worry about. In fact, in the bowling department, Mohammed Shami will replace the injured Bhuvneshwar Kumar and he is raring to go as well.

It will be interesting to see if Rishabh Pant gets an opportunity today.
