ISSF World Cup: Yashaswini bags gold, wins Olympic quota place

India’s Yashaswini pipped World No. 1 Olena Kostevych of Ukraine in the 10m Air Pistol category to bag the Gold at the ISSF World Cup in Rio. 

The 22-year-old, in turn, has won India’s 9th Olympic Quota in shooting and 14th overall. 

This is also India’s third Gold medal at the World Cup after Abhishek Verma and Elavenil Valarivan won the Gold at the 10m Air Pistol, 10m Air Rifle tournament. 

Also, with this medal, India moves to the top with three Gold, a silver and a bronze.
