Lockdown to be extended for 2 weeks, relaxed guidelines soon

The COVID19 lockdown is likely to be extended for two more weeks and an announcement is expected very soon.

The lockdown that started in the month of March is currently entering into 4.0 and this time there will be more relaxation, especially in the orange and green zone.

Except for half-a-dozen states like Telangana, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Punjab, all have been asking for further relaxations with the main objection on the Centre deciding on the coding of districts.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had set May 15 as the deadline for states to submit their recommendations on relaxations to be provided by during lockdown 4.0.

The Government is planning to slowly open transport as well with careful measures.

While the idea of opening the Metro with less passengers is on talks, the routes passing through the containment zones are not a good idea.

There may not be immediate opening up of aviation sector but autos and taxis may see running again even in red zones but with minimum passengers.
