Mary Kom qualifies for Tokyo Olympics

Six-time World Champion and Olympic medallist Mary Kom qualified for the upcoming Olympics. She defeated Philippines’ Irish Magno convincingly to get herself a ticket to Tokyo after advancing to Asia qualifier’s semifinal.

The 37 years old will now take on former Youth Olympics champion Chang in the semifinal.

The Tokyo Games will Mary Kom’s second Olympic appearance after missing out on qualification berth for 2016 Rio following a second-round loss in the 2016 World Championships.
