Mumbai Mayor visits hospital in nurse’s uniform to motivate staffs

Mumbai is one of the most affected places and rising to the occasion, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Mayor Kishori Pednekar returned to her old costume to motivate the young nurses.

Pednekar, a former nurse, mingled with the hospital’s nursing staff and enquired about the difficulties they are facing while dealing with the pandemic.

“Having worked as a nurse for over ten years at the JNPT hospital (1993-2003) I know well what their concerns would be and therefore told them to treat working in pandemic situation as such as an opportunity to serve the country instead,” she said.

Pednekar, 58, a three time Shiv Sena corporator was elected as Mumbai mayor last November.
