Days after bowling the final over to take Karnataka home in the final against the same opponent, Krishnappa Gowtham once again ran through the Tamil Nadu batting line-up to take Karnataka home in a thriller.
Needing only 181 to win, Tamil Nadu had a good start, scoring 49 off just 9 overs. Later, Gowtham provided the necessary destruction to put Karnataka on top from nowhere. However, Dinesh Karthik and Murugan Ashwin tried their best to survive but that wasn’t enough.
In the final over of the match, Gowtham finished it off with three balls to spare, picked up his 8th wicket gave the team a brilliant 26-run win.
