Superstar Rani Rampal wins ‘World games Athlete of the year’ award

India’s hockey team captain Rani Rampal wins the prestigious ‘World Games Athlete of the Year’ award for her spectacular 2019.

Totally, there were 700 thousand-plus votes and Rani alone won almost 200 thousand votes. The poll ran for 20 days.

Under Rani’s captaincy, India won FIH Series Finals last year and she was the player of the tournament. Also, India qualified for the Olympics for just the third time.

Rani was recently named among the Padma Awardees as well.
