Actor Vidyu Raman recently got engaged to businessman Sanjay Watwani.
The actor took to social media to share the news.
Sharing photos from her roka ceremony on Instagram, Vidyu wrote, “We got Roka-Ed! @lowcarb.india & I had our Roka Ceremony (formal announcement) on 26.08.2020 in an intimate manner with close family around us. It was our lil’ ray of sunshine & we couldn’t be more grateful for the love we received. We wore masks & removed them for the pictures (before anyone asks!) Thank you all so much for showering us with your best wishes! The best is yet to come.”
A statement from Vidyu Raman’s father and actor Mohan Raman read, “The family members of Actor Mohan Raman are very much elated as the apple of their eyes actress Vidyullekha will soon enter wedlock. The celebrated actress got engaged to Mr. Sanjay Watwani, a renowned entrepreneur in Chennai. The Roka (Engagement Ceremony) took place on 26.08.2020 with close family members only. The participants in the ceremony made sure that all Covid protocol are strictly followed and the occasion was open to 50 persons alone. Vidyullekha and Sanjay have been close friends for a very long time and both the families are happy about their decision to get hitched.”
The statement further read, “Sanjay’s family business is into textiles.They are a Sindhi family and Sanjay is born and raised in Chennai. Sanjay is a businessman who makes sugar free ice creams and sugar free products. His company is called Keto Chennai. Both the families are planning to have the wedding ceremony scheduled only after COVID 19 issues are completely wiped out as they want their children to enjoy this special occasion without getting scared. At the same time, both the families are keen on valuing the safety of relatives and guests. Both the families request everyone to bless and support the beautiful union of two hearts wishing them good and prosperous future.”
