Mallya is leading high life in the UK despite owing 9000 crores to 17 banks.

The report further suggested that Mallya would be travelling back to India accompanied by CBI and ED officials.

However, according to TOI reports, the extradition isn’t happening any time soon.

This is because home secretary Priti Patel has not signed off Mallya’s extraditions for legal reasons.

This may be due to the pending civil cases against Mallya at the UK court.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police told TOI: “No date has been arranged for Vijay Mallya’s extradition as yet.”

Mallya on May 14 lost the final extradition battle at the UK court.
