After a roller coaster first day of the warm-ups where we witnessed some epic performances from Afghanistan to overcome Pakistan in the first Warm-up match while South Africa defeated Sri Lanka convincingly.
On day two of the tournament Warm-ups, England takes on Australia and New Zealand takes on India.
A few months back, England went on to destroy the Australian team by 5-0 series victory and has won 9 of the last ten matches between them but that was a few months ago and this Australia team looks completely different and confident having won each of their last eight matches and coming from a series win against India. Most importantly, two of their best players Steve Smith and David Warner who are looking good has only added more advantage for the Australian team.
In the unofficial Warm-up match at this very venue against West Indies, Australia managed to pull off a victory and Steve Smith who announced himself once again to the world that he is ready with a beautifully crafted 76 will be looking to dominate here as well. Also, Usman Khawaja who was hit by a fiery bouncer from Russell is cleared of any danger and is raring to go today.
As far as England is concerned who are at their best possible place will, unfortunately, miss their captain Eoin Morgan who fractured himself during the practice session but the good news is that he will be fit for the World Cup.
Undoubtedly, Aaron Finch and Jofra Archer will be the players to watch out for but all eyes on David Warner and Steve Smith once again at this batting paradise.
What adds more excitement to the contest is that their outfits. Both the teams have opted for retro outfits and is looking great on the players, something to look forward to as well.
