ICC readmitted Zimbabwe and Nepal revoking their suspensions after a meeting with the respective Boards in the ICC Board meeting held at Dubai on October 14, 2019.
Zimbabwe Cricket Board Chairman Tavengwa Mukuhlani and Sports Minister Kirsty Coventry and Gerald Mlotshwa have accepted the terms and conditions for the reinstatement in the meeting. As a result, the ban was removed and ICC has accepted to continue funding to the Board. ICC suspended them earlier this July due to government interference in the Cricket Board.

“I would like to thank the Zimbabwe Sports Minister for her commitment to the reinstatement of Zimbabwe Cricket. Her desire to work in support of Zimbabwe Cricket was clear. And she has unconditionally complied with the conditions set down by the ICC Board. Funding to Zimbabwe Cricket will continue to be on a controlled basis.” said ICC Chairman Shashank Manohar.
ICC revoked the ban on Nepal after they successfully completed a 17 member Central Working Committee elections. They were suspended in 2016 for breaching ICC regulations.
“Given the progress made in Nepal, a transition plan will now be developed for the Cricket Association of Nepal to support full compliance with Associate Membership criteria, which will also involve controlled funding,” added Manohar.
