The oldest cricketer in the IPL league Pravin Tambe did make heads turn with his brilliance while playing for Rajasthan Royals. After the suspension of Rajasthan Royals, he went on to play for Gujarat Lions. Later, He was picked up by Sunrisers Hyderabad but he didn’t get many games there.
In the recent edition of the IPL, he was picked up by Kolkata Knight Riders. However, it looks like he has been disqualified from the tournament after he chose to appear for T10 league.
IPL governing council chairman Brijesh Patel confirmed the news, “Tambe had initially announced his retirement. But he then came out of his retirement, after which he took part in the Mumbai League. He then went and played in Dubai in T10 League without informing anyone. We have disqualified him from the IPL as he is a current player and he did not take permission from the board.”
Patel went on to add, “We have conveyed the decision to Kolkata Knight Riders and they will be allowed a replacement for the disqualified player.”
Tambe has 28 wickets in the IPL tournament, 15 of which came in 2014, when he played for Rajasthan Royals.
