India’s first corona linked death is a 76 year old man

India recorded its first Corona linked death on Tuesday after an oldman died in Karnataka.

’76-yr-old man from Kalaburagi who passed away & was a suspected COVID-19 patient has been confirmed positive for COVID-19,’ said commissioner of Karnataka’s health department.

The man returned from Saudi Arabia on February 29th and since then he had pneumonia, hypertension and asthma.

The government was waiting for the lab results from the National Institute of Virology, Pune before the death could be attributed to coronavirus.

Karnataka officials had till yesterday denied that his death was due to coronavirus.

The man died in ambulance while being moved between Karnataka and Telangana.
