Starbucks ban employees from wearing anything that supports BlackLivesMatter

The giants Starbucks reportedly has banned its customers from wearing anything that supports the movement, “Black Lives Matter”.

According to a memo sent to the employees warned them not to wear accessories or clothes that supports the movement as it is against the company policies. (“a political, religious or personal issue.”)

The memo was obtained by The Buzzfeed and the company spokesperson confirmed the authenticity of the same. He added that this is to create “safe and welcoming” environment at the outlet.

“We respect all of our partners’ opinions and beliefs, and encourage them to bring their whole selves to work while adhering to our dress code policy,” the spokesperson said.

The Black Lives Matter movement is rightly took over the world after the brutal murder of George Floyd.

Meanwhile, According to another employee, the company supports LGBTQ+ movement during this pride month.

“Starbucks LGBTQ+ partners wear LGBTQ+ pins and shirts, that also could incite and create violent experiences amongst partners and customers,” one black transgender employee of the coffee chain told BuzzFeed.

“We have partners who experienced harassment and transphobia/homophobia for wearing their pins and shirts, and Starbucks still stands behind them.”
