ENG v WI: Root to miss the 1st Test, Stokes to captain

England captain Joe Root will be missing the first Test due to the birth of his second child and Ben Stokes will captain the side.

While Stokes will captain the side for the first time, Jos Buttler will assist him.

England takes on West Indies for three-match Test series which will begin on 8th July.

This will be the first Test after months ever since coronavirus pandemic. The match will be held without spectators.

Also, during the match, West Indies will be wearing a new outfit with ‘Black Lives Matter’ on their jersey.
