Pakistan batsman Asif Ali’s 2YO daughter loses the battle with cancer

Pakistan batsman Asif Ali’s 2 years old daughter loses the battle with cancer on Sunday.

The kid was fighting stage IV of cancer and was taken to the USA for treatment where she lost the battle.

Ali is currently on tour with the Pakistan national team in England and played in the 54-run defeat by the hosts in their final one-day international of the series on Sunday.

“ISLU family pays its deepest condolences to @AasifAli2018 on the tragic loss of his daughter. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Asif & his family,” the PSL franchise said on Twitter on Monday.

“Asif is a great example of strength & courage. He is an inspiration to us.”

Ali wrote on Twitter about the battle of her daughter during the PSL and Islamabad coach Dean Jones broke to tears while talking about the kid’s battle.

Ali failed to grab a place in the 15-member squad initially but the selector Inzamam-ul-Haq informed on Monday that they have opted for Ali and Amir in the 15-member squad.

The teams can change their squad till May 23 without ICC’s intervention.
