Iga Swiatek wins the French Open

The teenager Iga Swiatek, who didn’t drop a set in the whole tournament this year, once again played a flawless match and defeated Sofia Kenin by 6-4, 6-1 to win the French Open title on Saturday.

The 19-year-old is the youngest winner since Monica Seles lifted the Suzanne Lenglen Cup in 1992.

Swiatek is also the first woman to triumph in Paris without ceding a set since Justine Henin in 2007.

Her previous best performance in a Grand Slam was fourth Round.

For the past two weeks, she played well to destroy her opponents including Simona Halep.
