Twitter: Virat Kohli is the most mentioned athlete in 2020

According to the recent report revealed by Twitter India, Indian skipper Virat Kohli was the most mentioned athlete in India for 2020.

While India didn’t play a lot of matches this year due to coronavirus pandemic, Virat Kohli had a big personal news, as he announced that he was expecting his first child.

Later, India witnessed Indian Premier League and that was one of the reasons as well.

Indian opener Rohit Sharma occupied the 2nd position. His IPL win as well as the recent confusion regarding his fitness are the main reason for Rohit.

Former Indian captain MS Dhoni came third in the list. Dhoni announced his retirement this year.

Apart from Twitter, Kohli also became the highest-ranked Indian in the list of top 25 global Instagram Influencers.

Among the hashtags,  IPL 2020 and WhistlePodu topped the list.
