Dear Deepika. . .

Dear Deepika,

How did you become who you are?
Everyday is not the same. Every battle is not the same. You got back up and picked up the pieces of your life. You are an inspiration. You are a warrior. One goal, that anyone would want to indulge in their life is how not to sabotage themselves. It is a challenging process. Everyone, who fights the impulse to go down the wrong path, the path where there is nothing short of unhappiness, is a warrior. Pain tends to condition us to take it close to our hearts, to like it. During the testing times of the mental health, it is equal to win the war with yourself when you find or mould your new self as you come out of it with a fine line of hope to carry on. You chased the silver line to go after your dreams. You were shrouded by depression. And yet you saw it for it is that life was full of exuberance. You fought over the negative thoughts. You learned to embrace the moments and keep learning everyday. You learned there was nothing more important than your physical and mental health. You learned how important it was to put ourselves first over anything that troubled us in life. The ugly gossips, the heartbreaks, the betrayal – you came out of everything that intended to break you. You decided to live with it but learned how not to give it the importance that it didn’t require in life. You didn’t doubt yourself. It is hard to see the best of ourselves even when it is visible to the others. You learned to look at yourself from another perspective. You grabbed onto that little hope and never tried to let go of it. Your success, your beauty, your talent are the answers you have to the people who are envious of them. You didn’t let the bad phase to lose who you are. The love found you and you were able to identify it. You let it rewrite the better version of yourself. And you keep writing it to date. We hope to see more of Leela, Meera, Naina, Mastani and Padmavati on the silver screen for the years to come. Happy Birthday Deepika. All the best for Chhapaak!
