India C holds nerve to go past experienced India A

After showing some great potential in the first match against India B, Veda Krishnamurty led India C held their nerves to win against the experienced India A.

Batting first, India C had a good start with Shafali Varma doing what she is best at, scored 38. Yastika Bhatia who replaced Parveen as the opener for the game scored 18. India C then had a cameo from Hemalatha and Captain Veda who took the team to 123 in their 20 overs.

In return, India A struggled as India C kept it tight and the match was gone in a whisker. That’s how T20 works, right?

Pick of the bowlers for India C is definitely Hemalatha once again who gave away just 15 and picked up a wicket. Arundhati Reddy had the main wicket of Harmanpreet Kaur and it changed the course of the match completely.

Deepti Sharma, however, tried her best to take the game till the end but it wasn’t enough as the team fell 10 runs short of the total.
