Actor Shaam and 12 others were arrested for gambling on Monday at his property on Sterling Road.
It is unclear whether any other actor was arrested.
According to reports, packets of playing cards, tokens, and other items have been seized by the police. The F-3 Nungambakkam police registered a case against the actor and others. Later, all of them were released on bail.
Actor Shaam made his debut with 12B and had worked in different languages. His last film to release was Kaaviyan and he is working on multiple projects now including a Kannada film.
