BCCI ‘might’ conduct Women exhibition, IPL like T20 this year too

BCCI might host IPL-like exhibition match for women cricketers this year as well.

The reports suggest that the board has already given the nod for the exhibition match but is waiting for the confirmation of IPL schedule which will be announced once the election dates are confirmed.

Unlike Last year which was curtain raiser or a ‘tester’ for women IPL-like T20 where two teams- Trailblazers and Supernovas- consisting of both Indian and foreign players battled out before the IPL 2018 qualifiers, this time there might be a best of three series between the two teams.

Though the last year’s match held before the men’s qualifier and with the broadcast on Television, the stadium was relatively empty, blame the timing. The match started at 2 pm, and there was confusion with the tickets.

Fingers crossed. Hopefully, there will be better planning this time.
