In the launching episode, Bigg Boss mentioned that the contestants would have to use go through partial lockdown inside the house. So, one of the bathrooms and one bedroom was locked. Considering the constraints, they are now allowed to utilise the bathrooms and still continue to lock one of the bedrooms. Men takes the hall and the couch while women spent the first evening in their bedroom.
Day 1 begins with a kickstart Master song. Participants receive their groceries for the week. Ramya Pandiyan is chosen as the first week captain of the house through a simple ball picking task. She is the only one left out and is chosen as the captain. Ramya splits the team inside the house for cleaning and cooking chores.
Rekha interacts with Nisha, Anitha in the presence of silently observing Shivani. They exchange banters while trying to keep it fun. But a tension laced on their interaction is obvious. Anitha Sampath gathers the team to play a run and catch game in the middle of the day to keep the fun going. Rekha tries to buy the labour from the housemates for the chores which for some people seems blunt and as Samyuktha put as “borderline rudeness”.
Bigg Boss gives the 16 participants a lookalike nomination task which enables the housemates to open up about the people they like and the people they don’t like based on their observation in this 24 hours. Rekha, Shivani, Samyuktha, Som receives most number of down votes (heartbreaks symbol) and Velmurugan, Aajeedh, Ramya, Rio receives most of the up-votes (hearts).
Rekha and Shivani seemed to have gotten on the bad sides of most people while they try to find their comfort in this new environment yet. There is a slight tension between Shivani and Samyuktha for who got to choose the bed they slept last night. Sanam takes Samyuktha’s side as she also shares a close bond from outside of the house too.
Gabriella states a strong comment about how Sanam tries too hard to seem natural in this habitat which seems inorganic to her. Rekha’s interaction and instruction which put off most of the housemates, come off as rudeness.
While Som, Gabriella, Bala, and Samyuktha are yet to become natural and comfort in the house, Others seems to have started off well. Aari and Som shares a brotherly bond in the short time just as Ramya and Samyuktha finds a shared positive vibe between them.
