COVID19: New Zealand reports two new cases

New Zealand on Tuesday said that they have reported two new positive cases.

Both related to recent travel from the UK, ending a 24-day streak of no new infections in the country.

The health ministry said the new cases were related to the border as a result of recent travel from the UK. Both cases are connected, it said in a statement.

Newzealand declared coronavirus free a few days ago and the country lifted all the restrictions except for the borders.

However, PM Jacinda Ardern did warn people that new cases might come in the future as New Zealanders return home, and some others were allowed in under special conditions.
