Delhi Capitals has replaced the all-rounder Harshal Patel who injured himself with J Suchith.
Suchith isn’t a new face to the IPL as he was a part of Mumbai Indians in 2015 where he picked up 10 wickets at an economy under 9. He also showed some skills with the bat in that season. He then was retained by Mumbai Indians for the 2016 season but didn’t get many opportunities.
After some good performances in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy followed by the selection process, Suchith was selected by the Capitals. However, he is unlikely to be a direct entry into the playing XI as Delhi have decent Indian all-round options like Axar Patel, Hanuma Vihari and Rahul Tewatia in their ranks.
