A video of a dentist performing tooth extraction process while riding a hoverboard took social media by storm. As the video went viral, the dentist is now arrested and sentenced for 12 years for this procedure.
According to reports, he was jailed on Monday for crimes of sedating patients without their consent, medic fraud and dangerous dentistry. Apart from this, he also had 46 other crimes to his name. During the hearing, the patient confirmed that the procedure and filming happened without her consent.
“Lockhart almost killed many patients by performing anesthesia thousands of times without training or consent, on patients outside his scope of training and expertise, while stealing money from Medicaid and embezzling from his bosses,” sentencing Judge Michael Wolverton told during the hearing.
Lockhart began his dentistry practice at Alaska Dental Arts in 2015.
