Director KV Anand passes away

Tamil director-cinematographer KV Anand passed away on Friday following cardiac arrest. He was 54.

KV Anand, one of the prominent names in the industry, began his career as cinematographer in 1994 with Malayalam film Thenmavin Kombath.

He turned director in 2005 after a successful career as cinematographer and made his directorial debut with the 2005 movie Kana Kandaen.

He went on to helm films like Ayan, Ko, Maattrraan, Anegan, Kavan and Kaappaan.
