Glenn Maxwell and Tom Banton went all guns blazing in the Big Bash League(BBL) after finding their teams in the IPL auction yesterday.
The day after he was bought by Kings XI Punjab for Rs 10.75 crores, Glenn Maxwell smashed a 39 ball 83 in the BBL match.

Maxwell played his first match today for Melbourne Stars after coming back from the mental-health break he took. He made sure that he took off from where he left before the break in the match against Brisbane Heat in the BBL.
The Australian all-rounder scored seven 4s and five 6s in the spectacular knock he played. There were a lot of opinions expressed about his price in the IPL auction. It was almost a befitting answer to all the questions about his form. Kumble and Kings XI Punjab can only wish he continues the good form in the IPL.
Playing in the opposite team, the latest England sensation Tom Banton scored his first half-century in BBL. Banton smashed six 4s and four 6s in his knock scoring 15 runs in a single over of Sandip Lamichhane.
Banton was expected to go for big money in the IPL auction by the fans and experts. However, barring KKR, nobody bid for him in the auction. It was considered as a steal in the auction as Banton is making noise in the T2 leagues all over the world.
Brendon McCullum and KKR team will be hoping that he could be the perfect replacement for Chris Lynn in the upcoming edition of the IPL.
