Hardik Pandya fails fitness tests; Vijay Shankar replaces him in India A squad

Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has failed the mandatory fitness tests in Mumbai and had to pull out of the Indian A squad which will travel to New Zealand two 50-over warm-up games, three List A games and two four-day game against the home A team.

Vijay Shankar has been called to replace him and he has already booked his tickets for New Zealand. This is a great opportunity for the Tamil Nadu all-rounder.

Talking about Pandya, he scored below the permissible range in two of the mandatory tests and is far from being fit to play the international cricket immediately.
