How this lockdown turned a man into Cinema Paradiso’s Alfredo in Ireland

A man in Ireland projects classic films on his terrace wall to amuse his neighbours while people are being locked inside their houses. He projected the classic musical comedy “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” on his terrace wall to the much delight of his neighbourhood.

A beautiful scene in Cinema Paradiso (1988), a classic Italian drama film, comes to the memory after seeing the news. The film has its main character Alfredo, who is a projectionist in a vintage theater, to project the film that’s going on inside the theater on a wall on the street. He does this to nourish his own soul by letting the yearning people on the street, who wish see the film but couldn’t afford for the same. And the young Salvatore in the film grows up watching Alfredo’s passion for movies and how he thinks movies can help people to find themselves. And one day, he walks in Alfredo’s footsteps too.

Here is a man in Ireland, Scott Duggan, makes people to enjoy one of the most wonderful ecstasy the mankind has ever made while they are still maintaining their social distancing. He comes with this innovative idea to bring people together and makes them forget their troubles for those few hours of movies.
