IND v NZ, 2nd Test: Gill might debut after Shaw missed out practice

Young opener Prithvi Shaw missed out the practice session on Thursday due to swelling on his left foot. According to the reports, he will be undergoing a blood test and if the results are favourable, a call will be taken on Friday.

Also, Gill had a great practice session on Thursday and was seen discussing things with Ravi Shastri who was paying extra attention to the youngster. Ravi Shastri was seen talking more about Gill’s footwork.

He is likely to open the innings with Mayank Agarwal.

Shaw had a poor outing in both the innings of the 1st Test with the scores of 16 and 14.
