India’s World Cup squad to be announced on April 15

BCCI to announce India’s World Cup squad on April 15 in Mumbai. The meeting likely to be attended by the Indian team captain Virat Kohli who will be leading his IPL side Royal Challengers Bangalore against Mumbai Indians on the same night in Mumbai.

Recently, India has lost the series by 3-2 against Australia after winning the first two ODIs and Virat Kohli has promised that the dressing room atmosphere is good and there’s nothing to be panic. He added that the squad will be almost the same though there might be condition-based changes.

He also made it clear that the players will not be selected based on their IPL form.

MSK Prasad, chairman of India’s selection committee, has already revealed that the squad for the World Cup will almost be the same and might have a “last-minute” change for a position or two.

Though the final date for the squad announcement is April 23, Prasad added that announcing the squad early would give the team to get into the right mind space.
