IPL 2020, KKR vs RR- KKR hand RR their first loss

An all-round performance from KKR helped the team to defeat RR by 37 runs.

After being asked to bat first, KKR had Gill and Narine adding a tiny partnership before the latter got out to Unadkat. Then the team had a couple of cameos from Rana and Russell (yes, he finally came up the order) before Morgan took over.

Gill ended up scoring 47 from 34 deliveries with five fours and a six. Morgan, in the end, managed to score 34 from 23, took his team to good total of 174.

RR probably got their bowling options wrong and did give away a few runs extra than expected.

The team lost their way right in the 2nd over where Cummins dismissed Smith. Mavi and Nagarkoti combined to dismiss the rest of the top order.

Varun got rid of Tewatia with ease and the bottom half had nothing to show. Tom Curran, on the other hand, stood tall for the team at least to take them closer to the target. He ended up scoring a beautiful 54* from 36 with 2 fours and 3 sixes.

For KKR, Mavi was the most economical, picked up two and gave away just 20. Nagarkoti and Varun were equally amazing, picked up two wickets apiece. KKR now moves to the second position from seventh in the points table, just above RR.
