IPL, MI vs CSK, Match 27- MI win by 4 wickets

Delhi witnessed one of the best games if not the best in the Indian Premier League. The match had everything, emotions and the pressure was written all over right from ball one. Of course, when these two meet, the games are always close and today was nothing different.

Rohit Sharma called it right at the toss and opted to field as expected. The team went on to remove Gaikwad early but CSK took over. Moeen Ali and Faf Du Plessis played well to add 108 runs to the total. Ali scored 58 from 36 while Du Plessis became the first man to score four consecutive fifties for CSK. He ended scoring 58.

When Bumrah removed Ali, Pollard brought Mumbai back into the attack for a couple of overs after dismissing Du Plessis and Raina in two deliveries. However, Ambati Rayudu took up the responsibility smashed every single bowler out there 72* from 27 deliveries to take the team to 218. Except for Pollard, everyone went for more, Rahul Chahar was the economical bowler with 0/32.

In return, Mumbai struggled a bit but was able to score 10 runs per over in the power play. Rohit made 35 and Yadav got out early soon as well. A few deliveries later, Quinton de Kock was defeated by Moeen Ali and Mumbai found themselves at 81/3.

Krunal Pandya and Kieron Pollard then joined hands and pulled off one of the best partnerships ever. While Pollard did all the damage, all Pandya had to do was to give the strike back to him. Pandya then ended scoring 32 off 23 and when he got out, the match was hanging in the middle.

Hardik Pandya added a quick cameo and in the final over, the team needed 16. Lungi Ngidi, who had an off-day, ended up bowling full-toss and Pollard was just too good to miss all these. In the end, Mumbai needed 2 off the final delivery. Ngidi nailed the yorker but the field was set for a boundary thus Pollard was able to run a couple of runs with ease to take the team home. He ended with 87* from 34.
