IPL2021: CSK vs RR, Match 12: CSK win by 45 runs

Wankhede is supposed to be batters’ and pacers’ ally but Chennai Super Kings proved it wrong as Ravindra Jadeja and Moeen Ali rattled the batting order of Rajasthan Royals on Monday.

Chennai Super Kings batted first and Gaikwad once again got out early after struggling a bit. Moeen Ali then join Faf du Plessis. The latter made 33 from 17 while Ali had 26.

Rayudu then had three sixes for his 27 and it was Bravo’s 8-ball 20 that took the team to 188. For Rajasthan, Sakariya had three wickets while Morris had two.

In return, Jos Buttler took on bowlers right from ball one and 35 deliveries later he got out for 49 to Jadeja’s beauty.

Sam Curran also did his part by removing Vohra and the most important wicket of Samson.

Then Moeen Ali took over, ended with 3 for 7 from his three overs. In the end, Unadkat and Tewatia had cameos but it wasn’t enough as Chennai Super Kings won their first match in three outings against Rajasthan Royals.
