Former cricketer Anil Kumble has been appointed as the head coach for the Kings XI Punjab franchise.
This is Kumble’s first time as the head coach of an IPL franchise. Before this, the legendary spinner headed the coaching department of the Indian team.
Kumble was earlier involved as a player and captain with Royal Challengers Bangalore before joining the team as a mentor. He also mentored Mumbai Indians.
Mike Hesson, who had a two-year contract with Punjab, resigned from the team a few months back and is now in charge with the team RCB.
