The most consistent teams locked horns for the coveted trophy in the grand finale. Northern Warriors & Delhi Bulls have beaten each other once in the tournament. Northern Warriors found a tough way to reach the finals after losing to Bulls yesterday.
Warriors skipper Pooran won the toss and made bulls bat first. Gurbaz and Lewis started off a flier by scoring 16 runs in the very first over. Gurbaz hasn’t had a great time in the middle as he failed to middle any ball. He gave away his Wicket to J Siddique. After that Wicket, the Bulls never recovered. Nabi showed some glimpses with a 10 ball 21. The so called Powerhitters failed big time as the Bulls ended up with a below-par total of 81/9. M Theekshana was the best bowler for warriors as he delivered a miserly spell of 3/14. He got well supported by his fellow countrymen D Lakshan (2/14) & Siddique (2/19).

Waseem Muhammad & The hero of yesterday’s heist Lendl Simmons maintained good momentum. Rovman Powell hit the winning runs by launching a Terrific sixer with 10 balls left. M Theekshana was awarded the Man of the Match & Pooran got the Man of the Series Award. That’s it, Northern Warriors are the champions of Alubond Abudhabi T10 League 2021. They also became the first team to win the trophy twice. There’ll be another season coming up in This year November. It’s going to be a massive one with crowds being allowed.
