Mithali Raj on secret of her consistency

Indian ODI captain Mithali Raj is probably one of the most consistent players in the world. She has 6888 runs in ODIs with an average of 50.64.

Talking about her consistency in the Live interview with Women’s Criczone, Mithali Raj said that it is because right from her childhood, she used to practice that way.

She added that 20s and 30s doesn’t matter to her and her aim is to get to at least 50 in every single match she plays. She said that she would be hard on herself if she had multiple failures.

She also credited her coach for the attitude as he always wanted some runs from her bat no matter where she plays.

She said that she is a competitive person, always hungry for runs and hates getting out be it gully cricket or professional cricket.
