Rohit Sharma is the best one-day player: Virat Kohli

The World Number one batter, the captain of the Indian cricket team Virat Kohli is all praises for his deputy Rohit Sharma after his ton against Bangladesh on Tuesday.

“In my opinion, he is the best one-day player around, he is having the tournament of his life and when he plays well everyone has so much confidence. When he plays well we know we are heading for a big score. He gives everyone the confidence to go out and bat.” said Kohli.

He also added, “Bangladesh played some really good cricket and deserve credit for the fight they put up. We had to work hard for the win and we are happy to see a ‘Q’ (qualified) in front of our name now.”

The Indian team went on to score 314/9 against Bangladesh, thanks to Rohit Sharma’s ton and his opening partner Rahul’s 77 followed by a few cameos by the Indian middle-order.

In return, the Indian bowlers produced a good display as Bangladesh got out 28 runs lesser than the target.
