Sachin Tendulkar lends hand for ailing Ashraf Chaudhary who once fixed his bat

Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar had come forward to help ailing Ashraf Chaudhary who had fixed his bat during his career.

Ashraf Chaudhary is fondly called as Ashraf chacha and owns a shop in South Mumbai. He had fixed the bats of many cricketers including Steve Smith, Kieron Pollard.

He normally would do it for free because of the love for the game and the cricketers.

However, this coronavirus pandemic had taken a toll on his health as well as financially. Now, according to reports, Sachin Tendulkar had spoked to Ashraf and had donated money as well.

The bat maker’s close friend Prashant Jethmalani told PTI on Tuesday, “Tendulkar came forward and has spoken to Ashraf Chacha. He has also helped him financially. A major chunk of the finances has been donated by the legendary batsman.”
