Finally, we have our four teams for the play-offs and Sunrisers Hyderabad brought their A-game when it was needed and defeated the table-toppers Mumbai Indians by 10 wickets to qualify for the play-offs.
Mumbai Indians had Rohit Sharma back to the side and opened along with Quinton de Kock. After Rohit’s dismissal for 4 runs, Suryakumar Yadav then added a tiny partnership with de Kock which was followed by a cameo from Kishan.
Later, Pollard scored an impressive 41 to take Mumbai to 149.
Sandeep Sharma grabbed three wickets while Holder and Nadeem got two wickets.
What followed was an outstanding display from Warner and Saha to take the team home with ease.
Mumbai did miss a few of their key players including Bumrah today and it didn’t work well for them.
Warner smashed 85* from 58 while Saha scored 58* from 45. The team finished the match in the 18th over and also finished the group stages at number four.
With this, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Hyderabad qualified for the play-offs.
Hyderabad now will take on Bangalore in the eliminator and the winner of the contest will play the loser of the first qualifier.
